Dragonfly Monitoring Engine (DME) is part of the Dragonfly family of cost-effective probes for monitoring large-scale IP network traffic and activity. It is a hardware-accelerated, multi-core, packet processing system, capable of analyzing up to 14.8 million packets per second (the theoretical limit of a 10Gbps link). DME incorporates a multi-threaded, modular software architecture with plug-ins supporting flow data export, deep packet inspection (DPI), and packet recording.
HammerHead Capture & Replay (HCR) achieves 100% packet capture at 10Gbps line rate, regardless of frame size or protocol type. All packets are time-stamped to 10ns resolution then recorded to disk in standard PCAP format. Recreating a real-world 10Gbps traffic scenario is simply a matter of replaying part or all of the recorded traffic. HammerHead’s replay tools ensure that packets are retransmitted with the same timing profile recorded at capture, preserving flow and protocol integrity.
PCAP Express (PCAPX) dramatically boosts the performance of network security and monitoring applications by transparently balancing computationally-intensive operations between FPGA-based acceleration modules and multi-core processors. Developers of standard pcap-enabled applications can immediately leverage hardware-acceleration to scale application performance to multi-gigabit traffic rates without modifying code or learning a new API.
